Unless stopped by any Federal or State Judicial Authority, Carnegie Hall Corporation Executives are set to waste public funds in a bid to "renovate" the historic artist-studios space in Carnegie Hall for purposes which are at a variance with the historical nature of Andrew Carnegie's intentions.  Instead of moving to protect Andrew Carnegie's dream that artists proliferate their crafts and enhance the venerable reputation of the Hall, the executives of Carnegie Hall are using the venue for their own play toy at the expense of the public treasury to the tune of $50 million dollars, while essential social programs are going begging for non-existent funding.

In a scenario that plays out like Lazarus and the Rich Man, Carnegie Hall Executives are all excited over defacing the Hall by gutting the studio space with questionable replacement "education" facilities and executive offices in a 25% to 75% imbalance at the expense of fire stations, housing, and other social necessities that apparently the City Council could care less about assisting.  So while the dogs lick the proverbial wounds of the proverbial Lazarus, the proverbial Rich Man feasts sumptuously at the table of narcicism and impious glory which represents their experiment in music education that shall inadequately serve the functions of the Hall by devolving its status from that of a professional forum to that of an amateur forum all in the name of "progress" and all this using misappropriated tax payer funds and all this could be deemed to be in violation of federal law if a federal judge agrees wth the public outcry against the wanton destruction that Carnegie's executives have planned for late spring/early summer.

All this can be stopped right in its tracks if enough civic minded servants speak out and force public accounting of Carnegie Hall's financial affairs and possible self-dealing.  We encourage all interested persons to contact their Senators, Congresspersons, City Council-persons, and federal prosecutors and press them for immediate action.  Time is quickly running out; so, let us not disappoint Andrew Carnegie by failing to act now.  Don't put off your civic duty.  Get in there and save the Carnegie Artist Studios from a planned demolition.
